VMware {code} Community Calls: A Space to Learn, Share, and Connect

We’re excited to invite you to our VMware {code} Community Calls, a bi-weekly gathering where the tech community comes together to learn, collaborate, and simply hang out. Whether you’re here to explore new topics, share your experiences, or just enjoy spending time with like-minded people, these calls are for everyone.

Each session is designed to strike a balance between casual connection and value-packed learning. From live discussions and AMAs to prepared presentations and collaborative panels, there’s always something to inspire and engage. No matter your level of experience, the {code} Community Calls are a safe, welcoming space to grow and connect.

What to Expect from VMware {code} Community Calls

Our first VMware {code} Community Call kicks off on January 30, 2025, at 9 AM ET/2 PM GMT! Join us as we discuss plans for the year, explore homelabs, dive into study group opportunities, and collaborate to generate ideas and gather interests from the community.

After the initial call, {code} Community Calls will take place every other week, with alternating times to give everyone a chance to join (may change):

  • Second Wednesday of the month at 2 PM ET/ 7 PM GMT
  • Last Thursday of the month at 9 AM ET/2 PM GMT

Agenda:

  • Casual Check-In: Connect, share updates.
  • Lightning Talk – Community-Driven Content: Presentations, AMAs, or panel discussions on topics like PowerCLI, Terraform, Python, Homelabs, and more.
  • Community Feedback: Let me know what you’re interested in and I’ll work on getting resources.

These calls are all about fostering connection and collaboration while providing opportunities to learn something new. Whether you’re here to share, listen, or just hang out with the community, you’ll always find something valuable in every session.

VMware {code} Power Sessions

In addition to the Community Calls, we’re excited to showcase VMware {code} Power Sessions—in-depth, 45-minute presentations that dive deep into technical topics. These sessions mirror the high-quality talks you’d see at VMware Explore, offering significant learning and growth opportunities for attendees.

Power Sessions are perfect for those who want to explore a topic they’re passionate about in greater detail, whether it’s automation, infrastructure management, cloud innovation, or emerging technologies. These presentations provide both the community and speakers with a chance to engage at a higher level.

Our goal is to hold Power Sessions regularly, but we need your help to make it happen! We’re looking for community members who are excited to share their knowledge and experiences.

By giving a Power Session, you’ll not only support your peers but also:

  • Boost your profile as a speaker within the {code} community.
  • Develop your expertise through live interaction and feedback.
  • Gain an advantage when submitting proposals for the VMware Explore {code} Theater!

Whether you’re a first-time speaker or a seasoned presenter, we’d love to have you join us. Let’s collaborate to build an inspiring and educational experience for the {code} community!
